LABC Warranty appoints new Managing Director David Swigciski

Structural warranty insurer LABC Warranty has announced the appointment of David Swigciski as Managing Director. David succeeds Jacki Goodman, who retired at the end of 2023.

David brings more than 20 years of experience in the insurance sector to the Merseyside-based construction defects specialist.

Previously the Director of Client Service at DAS UK Group, David has a track record for growing specialist insurance businesses sustainably and profitably.

At DAS and RSA, David led on a number of strategic and operational improvements for specialty insurance businesses across the engineering, marine and power and construction sectors.

Founded in 2007, LABC Warranty partners exclusively with Local Authority Building Control to offer structural warranty insurance to the new-build housing market across England and Wales.

David said, “There are so many interesting projects on the way at LABC Warranty, and I’m excited to work with our technical and customer-facing teams to build on our pipeline of great work.

“That strong foundation, combined with our industry-leading reputation for technical expertise, and our unique partnership with LABC, offer us fertile ground to build this business together.

LABC Warranty has been part of HSB UK and Ireland since April 2022, part of the global HSB Group.
