What you need to know about the Site Recognition Awards

How to nominate your site

Sites are automatically nominated based on a scoring system, so you don't have to do anything. LABC Warranty Risk Management Surveyors score a site during each inspection visit. Each site is verified by our Regional Managers for consistency. Sites that achieve a high average score over a 6 month period receive a Site Recognition Award.

All sites which have been awarded with a Site Recognition Award within one calendar year are verified and shortlisted by our team of judges. Only the best sites are chosen as our annual Bricks award winners and presented with The Bricks prestigious annual award trophy.

How is a site scored?

LABC Warranty Risk Management Surveyors are responsible for scoring a development during each inspection visit. Scores are based on the standard of site management including:

  • Quality of workmanship at different stages of construction
  • Health and safety on site
  • Site tidiness and organisation
  • General cooperation
  • Standard of site management

During the final stage, judges take into account all the criteria scored by our surveyors including:

  • Availability of LABC Warranty marketing materials (free site marketing materials can be ordered online)
  • Care for the environment and innovation
(use of any comprehensive strategies which demonstrate quantifiable environmental benefits applied at both construction and post-construction stages)

Download our Good Practice Guide to understand what our surveyors look for whilst on site and guidance on how to implement our best practices, to help you deliver a quality development.

What is the nomination process?

Stage 1: Site Recognition Award winners are announced each month from January-December and presented with a certificate on site.

Stage 2: All winning sites for that year are reviewed and further shortlisted as annual winners by LABC Warranty judges.

Stage 3: Annual winners are announced the following year and presented with The Bricks prestigious award trophy.
