Your rate is retained for a calendar year, letting LABC Warranty offer you additional bonds for other developments without any further assessments.

What are road and sewer bonds?

Road and sewer bonds are a guarantee that when a developer is installing infrastructure like roads, sewers, mains water, and more, that they will be installed to recognised standards.

Should a developer fail to achieve installation to those recognised standards, the bond assures the local authority that the work will still be completed, or remedied, at the expense of the bond issuer.

Once the works are completed to a satisfactory standard, maintenance of the works is transferred to the local authority.

How much do road and sewer bonds cost?

Due to the varied nature of developments that would employ road and sewer bonds, and the varied financial situations of our customers, it’s not possible to offer up-front rates for this service.

Which documents do I need to apply?

To apply for a road and sewer bond, you must assemble:

  • The wording of the bond, or agreement, made with the local authority.
  • Your site plans.
  • A completed Application Form.
  • Your latest full accounts (not abbreviated accounts) of your company, and parent companies, holding companies, etc.
  • The latest monthly or quarterly management figures (including both profit and loss and balance sheet information) of your company, or consolidated management accounts where applicant is part of a group.

Yes, any developer can apply for a road and sewer bond through LABC Warranty.

However, we strongly recommend speaking to your account manager before assembling an application in order to make sure your application has the best chance of success.

Is there an application fee?

No, LABC Warranty will only take payment once a bond has been agreed.

How long will it take to assess my application?

The length of time it will take to process your application is dependent on many factors, including the nature and complexity of the project, and your historical work with LABC Warranty. 

Do you offer multiple bonds for phased developments?

Yes, we are happy to offer phased bonds.
