New and expanded LABC Warranty Good Practice Guide Available now

The latest Good Practice Guide offers you an even more robust and exhaustive guide to producing high quality, award-winning LABC Warranty sites.

Read on for more information about what’s new in the latest edition, and how the guide helps developers using our warranty to produce great sites for satisfied residents.

Introducing the latest Good Practice Guide from LABC Warranty

About the Good Practice Guide

The Good Practice Guide offers developers like you a clear example of what LABC Warranty consider best practice on a building site, and what we’re looking for when judging awards.

The guide covers areas like health and safety of workers and visitors, site tidiness, quality of site management, and an overview of the workmanship we expect to see on your site.

Following the guidance in the Good Practice Guide helps you to deliver higher-quality sites, leaving happier residents in your homes, and enhancing your reputation as a quality builder or developer.

In addition, adhering to the guidance laid out in the Good Practice Guide will help your sites score highly in LABC Warranty’s monthly and annual awards.

What’s new in the 2023 edition?

With the input of our Technical Team and on-site risk surveyors, the latest Good Practice Guide offers a significant expansion in guidance over our previous edition.

This includes some expansion to the health and safety, site tidiness, site management, and general cooperation sections, with new imagery and guidance on these subjects.

The most substantial change, however, is to the section detailing the quality of workmanship our surveyors are looking for on your sites.

Written examples of high quality workmanship are demonstrated at every step from foundations to finishes, along with images from LABC Warranty sites that we consider to be excellent examples of their respective stages.

This exhaustive detailing of good practice gives you and your staff a clear and repeatable example of high quality workmanship, making it easy for you and your teams to produce award-quality sites, and in some cases helping you comply with the requirements laid out in our Technical Manual.

About LABC Warranty's awards

Every site with LABC Warranty is automatically entered into our two awards, our Site Manager Awards and The Bricks site recognition awards.

The Bricks

The Bricks recognises developers that consistently deliver high quality workmanship and site management throughout the year.

Annual winners are picked from a shortlist of monthly Site Recognition Award winners, and delivered at regional celebration events.

Site Manager Awards

The Site Manager Awards celebrate the invaluable contributions that site managers make to successful developments.

Picked from a shortlist of regional Site Manager Award winners, the national Site Manager of the Year winner is announced at LABC’s annual Building Excellence Awards Grand Finals event.

Understanding and applying the Good Practice Guide puts your sites in the best position to win these awards.
