Course contents

This course focuses on common defects found in pitched roofs. Spending an hour on your site with an LABC Warranty trainer, your learners will explore typical roofing types, typical roofing materials, and the main problem areas in roof construction.

This includes:

  • Covering materials like underlay and battens.
  • Fixing materials.
  • Fire stopping.
  • Flashing and weather details.
  • Good practice in roof construction.

Your LABC Warranty trainer will highlight common defects found on site when dealing with with pitched roof construction, and how to avoid the most common issues found by LABC Warranty risk surveyors.

Learners will also be equipped with the common theory behind the standards in the LABC Warranty Technical Manual, what our standards are, and why we ask for those standards to be met.

This course is delivered exclusively in-person, at a site of your choosing.
