This is one-day course aimed at non-technical staff instills an understanding of the stages of constructing a home.

Your LABC Warranty trainer will take delegates through a variety of areas, including:

  • Typical foundation types.

  • Below-ground works.

  • Floor construction.

  • Drainage installations.

  • External walls.

  • Upper floors.

  • Roof coverings.

  • First-fix stage, including electrical and ventilation installations.

  • Plastering.

  • Second fix.

  • External works.

At the same time, your trainer will highlight the responsibilities of inspectors and risk surveyors in ensuring high quality homes are delivered, and how recent regulation changes have changed that role.

In addition, learners will discuss the standards laid out in the LABC Warranty Technical Manual, and the best practice needed to attain those standards when building homes.
