LABC Warranty boosts executive team with new appointments

LABC Warranty has announced two new appointments to its senior leadership, with Boyd Hackett joining as Commercial Director, and Suzanne Thurlow joining as Operations Director.

The pair join a team helmed by David Swigciski, who joined LABC Warranty as Managing Director in 2024.

“We are delighted to welcome Boyd and Suzanne to the team,” said David. “They bring with them impressive track records and deep understandings of both the construction and insurance sectors.

“I look forward to seeing their significant contribution to LABC Warranty, developing our offering as the go-to for homebuilders and developers seeking quality and trusted expertise.”

Boyd, who previously served in a head of underwriting position with a national surveying supplier, will lead LABC Warranty’s commercial strategy, focusing on delivering market-leading services to customers and sustaining long-term partnerships with insurers.

“I am thrilled to be joining LABC Warranty at such an exciting time,” Boyd said. “From day one, I have been impressed with the commitment to providing high quality collaborative solutions to home builders.

“LABC Warranty plays a critical role in providing capacity, expertise and technical support to UK housebuilders and I am looking forward to playing my part in this.”

Suzanne, meanwhile, arrives from LABC Warranty’s parent organisation, Munich Re, where she served as Head of Change. Her responsibilities at LABC Warranty will encompass multiple teams, including customer service, claims, compliance, data and analytics, and facilities.

“I look forward to further developing the day-by-day commitment and processes to enhance the LABC Warranty experience for customers,” Suzanne said. “LABC Warranty’s offering to customers stretches across the entire lifespan of a project.

“It is this dedication to addressing the needs of homebuilders that makes LABC Warranty such an attractive proposition; both personally and commercially.”
