How did you feel when you found out you had won the award?
Extremely elated for myself, for all the trades working on the site, and for Shelbourne Estates.
What does it mean to you personally?
The recognition and achievement means a lot, it’s the highest accolade in the 18 years I have been with Morris Homes/Shelbourne Estates, and across my 26 years as a Site Manager in the industry. It’s great to see hard work and our contribution rewarded.
What does it mean for your team / business?
Our site team are thrilled that their meticulous attention to detail and real dedication has been recognised. This further showcases the effort, and the quality, established across our collection of luxury Shelbourne Estates homes, and highlights the carefully curated specifications that the brand has become renowned for.
What makes a good Site Manager?
A good Site Manager must have attention to detail, an eye for quality, and be driven to meet the high standards required by both customers and the expectations of the company they work for.
What challenges have you faced, like COVID, supply issues, the economy, and how have you overcome them?
The ever-changing economic landscape always presents new challenges to our industry, and a Site Manager must be willing and responsive to the climate, controlling cost on a daily basis, and working closely with the commercial department.
What one success in your work are you most proud of and why?
Winning the LABC Warranty Regional Site Manager Award is my proudest success in work, because of the recognition of the consistent day-to-day effort involved in winning such an award.
