What does this award mean to you, your team and your business?

Individually I am over the moon. It’s great to proudly fly the LABC Warranty flag next to a Morris Homes flag and to share news of the award with all the excellent trades and staff who have been involved at Norton Rise. I took great pride in sharing news of the award with our purchasers on site, which further validates their faith in us.

Coupled with a site wide 100% HBF Recommends score, the award highlights the outstanding level of commitment at Morris Homes to high quality and excellent service.

What does winning this award mean to your customers and business partners?

The award is a team effort. This isn’t something that just lands in your lap, it requires hard work on a daily basis from the entire work force. We inform our customers that we work closely with LABC Warranty and explain all the key stages of inspections.

Describe the biggest challenge you had to overcome in creating Norton Rise?

The biggest challenge for me as Site Manager was getting the village on our side when we first arrived. By demonstrating our commitment to genuine place-making and to delivering homes of the highest quality of design and construction we have seen original scepticism disappear and the site is now seen as an asset to the village.

I’m now met with smiles and people who live close by saying how wonderful the site looks and how it blends seamlessly with the surrounding area.

What about Norton Rise makes you most proud?

I’m so proud of Norton Rise. I love driving to work and pulling into the development, admiring the show home every morning and how the whole development has grown into a community of families not just houses.

That is incredibly satisfying. It’s been a happy site with a great work force and so many happy customers.

When leaving for the day I’m often stopped for a chat by the residents whom I have now got to know well. You can’t ask for more than that.
