We spoke to Inland Homes' Development Director and Construction Director to understand how LABC Warranty's early engagement approach has been invaluable in delivering a quality project within programme and on budget.

“Early engagement has enabled us to make amendments on a variety of projects. This input has been invaluable, which has helped us deliver our projects within programme and on-budget.”

Pedro Longras – Development Director at Inland Homes

How has the partnership with LABC Warranty and Hertfordshire been key to Inland's success with complex projects?

One of the main challenges Inland Homes face when it comes to developing complex projects particularly on brownfield land are the technical issues which can arise further down the line, such as problems with contamination. Inland Homes needed a warranty provider that would work with them to find solutions to these problems early on in order to help them build quickly and efficiently. This is where the partnership with LABC Warranty and Hertfordshire building control developed to help streamline the process and work collaboratively to bring projects through the various stages of design and production on site.

By getting LABC Warranty and Hertfordshire Building Control involved early at the design stage and sometimes even as early as the land and planning stage helps them with design certainty to make executive decisions about a project. LABC Warranty attend design meetings and any workshops to provide technical input to consultants and sub-contractors as Inland move through the design process. Even down to the surveyors on site providing clear and concise support for Inland’s technical team when it’s needed which is consistent across all of their schemes.
