Self-build warranty features

Our self-build policy provides 10 years of cover from completion and includes:

Builder liability (if used) for the first 12 months following completion
Additional costs and fees
Alternative accommodation
Removal of debris
Mechanical and electrical defects (for 5 years from completion)

We can cover new builds or conversions up to a reconstruction cost of £1m.

The home must be your main residence and your permanent address for at least 12 months from completion.

An excess of £1,000 applies.
